Update on school..

It's going freakin awesome! I just got my first Math test score back and.. 105%! WOO! I also just took my first Humanities quiz and.. 100%! I still haven't gotten my Music paper score but, I think I did pretty good. I've been going to every class, everyday. I've been, somewhat, keeping up on my reading and just feel really good about school so far! I have exams coming up but, I'm going to study, study, study! I've decided I'm going to rock every exam. THAT'S right! This is very short but I have nothing else to say about school. It's still school.

School started. Laziness is over.. for the most part.

School has started. Notice I didn't end that sentence with an exclamation point, like I usually do with just about every sentence. Don't get me wrong, I'm ready to start school again and actually like a few of my classes but.. I will have no life. My classes are as follows:

College Algebra 0990
American Popular Music
Intro. Criminal Justice
Humanities through the Arts

What I feel about each class goes as follows:
College Algebra 0990:
Kill me now. That about sums it up. One plus, my Professor is a cute, old lady who just loves teaching. I love professors like that!
American Popular Music:
I've only had this class once but loved the lecture. I really think I'll enjoy this class. The professor knows a TON about music and there doesn't seem to be an overwhelming amount of homework, which is always nice.
Intro. Criminal Justice:
I know I made the right choice with my major. I love everything about this class and I've only had it once. I'm SO excited! I should have started this major years ago.
Humanities through the Arts:
I thought about withdrawing when there was only 5 of us in class when it started. Luckily, other people started coming in 15 or so minutes later and there ended up being about 20 students in the end. I decided to give this class one chance and I would make my final decision after. I loved it. This class has so much involvement with art, I just love it. The homework seems a bit tough but, I think I'll really enjoy the lectures. For a final project, I can actually oil paint and turn it in. How cool is that?

This last week was pretty rough. My legs and feet are in so much pain but, it's worth it. I'm finally ready to be in school full time and I can't WAIT to get my Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science. It fits me so well. I know this career choice will be something I love! It only took me how many years to figure it out? I'd rather not give that answer.
One thing I realized from all my classes was, there is always a thinks-they-know-it-all person. Seriously. In every single one of my classes. I'm pretty sure I'll be killing one of them by the end of the semester. I just don't understand how someone can think that making a comment after EVERYTHING the professor says is actually a good idea. It's ridiculous.
On a different note.. I started reading The Mortal Instruments series. I'm on the first book and I'm really, really enjoying it! It's definetely similar to Twilight but, I think, way better written. I should say that the story line is similar but the characters are more interesting. This isn't a vampire book but it does have an oridnary girl who can see a certain group of people that humans shouldn't be able to see so, she's special. Then you have the love triangle and the evil people trying to kill humans. I would say it's more mature than Twilight, for sure, but it is very similar so if you didn't like Twilight, you may not like this. I would recommend at least giving it a try! My next book, after this series, will be.. Witch and Wizard by James Patterson.
So the next few months will be school, school, and more school. I'm sure my future blog posts will be venting about homework, obnoxious people, and anything else school related. Read at your own risk.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm so thankful for this time of year. I have the best husband in the world! He's always there for me when I need him and always comes through for me when I'm in need of comfort. This time of year makes you really think about the people you're closest to. I feel like I'm able to see who truly cares for me, loves me and would do anything for me. My family means the world to me and I'm so thankful for them as well. Thank you, David, for putting up with my venting, especially lately.. ha!, my ditziness, my forgetfulness, and my occasional complaining. That's right, I said occasional. :)
I love you! You are a truly my best friend and I don't think I could make it without you. I know, tender.

And it starts.

I'm all registered for school and as nervous as can be!
My classes are as follows..
American Popular Music
Humanities for the Arts
Intro to Criminal Justice
Introductory Algebra
I only have classes Tuesday-Thursday which is awesome. AND my earliest class is at 2pm. Again, awesome. If you know me at all, I am NOT a morning person. Not even a little. Now, I have to purchase books. Eek. I'm going to rent all of them except for the Criminal Justice one. I'd like to keep any books having to do with Forensic Science. After Spring semester, I will be 30% done! I hope to have my bachelors within 3 years. That means constant school but, it will be worth it. I need to take advantage of not having to work because my husband has an awesome job. I can be a full-time student and not have to be in debt for it. Hooray!
School.. here I come!

New start!

I'm starting fresh.
I was looking back on some blog posts and realized there are some things that I don't want to remember or relive each time I log on here. I don't want to feel anxious or regret anything written. I don't post very often but I want to make my blog a place to update and express appreciation for my life and everything I have. I have a lot to be thankful for and it didn't show. Soooo, my blog is now a blank canvas!
First I'll update..
David and I moved to Orem, UT about a month ago and absolutely LOVE our new place! It is a 3 bedroom/2 bath condo right off the 800 N. exit from I-15. I haven't been able to explore much due to my laziness but, the scenery is breathtaking. We are so close to the mountains and can see Utah Lake from our bedroom balcony. We live next to a Winco! WOO! Yes, I get excited about a grocery store. We used to live next to a Harmon's and Winco is so much cheaper. I actually walked there today! Believe it. We're not fond of our upstairs neighbors who enjoy jumping around 24/7 but that's what comes with renting. I guess. Woo? We'll see..
I start school at UVU on January 5! I'm very excited. My major is Forensic Science, for now. That's a field I'm very interested in and think I'd be good at but it means I'll have to take tons of Chemistry, Math, and Physics. If you know me at all, you probably paused after reading that with mixed feelings. Believe me, I have the same feelings. BUT, I'm going for it. I know I can do it as long as I actually do the homework AND study. Not just one or the other. Or neither. :)
I'll be going full-time and not working. I've never gone to college and not worked at the same time. I'm very excited to be able to put all my focus towards school. I need to do that if I want to graduate. I'm not the best multi-tasker. Eek!
David is still at Imagine Learning. He was promoted to team lead over a bunch of interns. Right now, he only has a couple but is supposed to end up with about 12 programmers working under him. He has mixed feelings about the position. He enjoys programming so being promoted to team lead means, less programming per day. That's the part he doesn't like. I'm sure he enjoys being in charge of people and telling them what to do. :) I know I enjoy that. Bwahaha!
I've, basically, finished my Christmas shopping! That's a first for me. I usually wait until about the 23rd. Ha! I actually did most of my shopping on black Friday. I know, crazy huh? It really wasn't bad. Jessica and Shohei were in town and were able to get a lot of their shopping done too! It was a fun day!.. for Jessica and I.
We have our Christmas tree up and decorated! It's fun. This year, we went and bought ornaments and chose a couple to represent ourselves. It was our first time buying our own ornaments! Tender.I'm sure I've bored anyone actually reading this so, I'll stop. For now.. bwahaha!

Colorado!

Its been a month since Jessica and Shohei moved to Colorado. I finally was able to go visit them over this Labor Day weekend! It was a BLAST!
David and I flew in Friday evening and came home Monday late afternoon. It was so much fun! We stayed at Jessica and Shohei's apartment which is darling! It's beautifully decorated and just plain cute! When we walked out of the Denver airport, the first thing I heard was Jessica screaming. It was so great to see her! I didn't realize how long it has actually been. We went from seeing each other at the least 3 times a week from going a whole month without seeing each other at all. We immediately hugged and kept screaming for a good couple minutes! Woo! They then took us back to their place where we caught up on our lives and made sure we updated each other on everything. We decided to pick up something to eat before heading to the apartment. We drove around, trying to find a Popeye's for Shohei but that failed so, we ended up going with Sonic. It was delicious!Saturday:
We slept in, of course, then decided to go see Jessica's law school campus! It was SO pretty! Colorado has trees everywhere and I love it! She took us on a tour of the Wolf Law Building and showed us all her classes! We also got to see her cute, little locker! The campus was just amazing and I loved all of it! We then went to the book store where I purchased a gray, zip-up hoodie that says Colorado Law on the front of it. I love it! It will remind me of Jessica every time I wear it. Yes, I'm obsessed with her! After the bookstore, they took us over to Pearl Street which was awesome! It was full of cute shops, boutiques, and restaurants. It also had performers everywhere! Some were kids playing instruments which was a little weird. We decided to end the day with a movie.. Going the Distance. It was alright. It was nice to see a movie with my favorite people though!
Sunday:
We slept in again, of course. After we got ready we drove to Denver for the Taste of Colorado festival. It was awesome! There were so many booths filled with clothes, jewelry, food.. basically everything! I bought a super cute, green bracelet and a voodoo doll that is yellow and dressed as a bank robber. It's SO cute! We walked around for a bit more but then couldn't take the heat anymore so headed back to the apartment. We lounged around for an hour or so, reading and playing video games, haha! We love to just lounge sometimes! Later that evening, we went to dinner at a Chinese restaurant then went to BJ's steak and brew-house for dessert! When we got back, we decided to watch a show called The Colony. David and I rave about it so Shohei and Jessica wanted to watch it. It was fun! I'm in love with that show. Seriously.
Monday:
We finally ate at Jack and the Box! I told them I had to at least once. I'm in love with their tacos and am bummed Utah doesn't have any. It was delicious! We shopped around then they took us to the airport. I was waaaay sad to go. :(
We had such an amazing weekend! It was a blast! It's always nice to visit with close friends. I love them so much! Jessica made tons of cupcakes and I'm pretty sure David and I ate at least 10 of them. They were soooo good! Thank you guys for driving us everywhere, letting us take over your family room, being our tour guides, and getting us normal milk and cereal! You guys are amazing!
